  1. There's no denying that Moore believes that Catholicism is Christian after seeing this video. And that's a shame since she is regarded as a gifted Bible teacher. May the Lord open her eyes to see that the Roman Catholic Church anathematized the gospel.

    1. Just curious - where Do you think the Bible came from? Answer - The Catholic Church!
Who established the Catholic Church (the original and only Christian Church)? Jesus Christ..
What Church is the only Church doing the ONE thing Jesus asked us to do in remembrance of HIM? The Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church is the FULLNESS of the Gospel, not a selected interpretation.
God bless your enthusiasm and pull the scales off your eyes.

  2. According to Beth Moore,YES. According to the Word of God, NO.!!.

The RCC has strayed far from what The Word describes as true faith in the LORD - sending millions to hell with their false doctrines. Sadly many either do not know the difference or just don't care one way or the other.

  3. Ali - I think it is a sad combination of both of those scenarios.

  4. Yes, but their can be real christians amongst the Catholic faith. Maybe this is what she was trying to get at. I am not Catholic, but, have had a very devout old school Roman Catholic friend, If christians do not allow them to be in the fold how will they become saved? Just like David Wilkerson said about gay people, how can they be saved if they cannot walk through the doors of Times Square church?

I am not a believer of gays attending church on the premise that it is ok to be gay and a church member. they need to enter the church to learn, heal, and repent from sin as of all of us. Including the catholics.

I am a christian, and I have done quite a bit of study of the wayward doctrines, and quite frankly have become a little distressed over the nit-picking of every single person.

It almost seems like is somebody gonna find fault in everything someone says? I am just frustrated. I believe we are in the end times, I believe the way to Christ is very narrow and few find it.

Can we not help our Catholic brothers and sisters find it too?

  5. I was not scolding you or calling you pharisaical.......I just am frustrated. I am well aware of all you expose....it just seems there is nowhere to go anymore, no church is right.

  6. Mia Bella -

I get what you're saying. And for sure, no church is perfect. (Churches CAN be 'right' - doctrinally speaking, that is - but none will be perfect.)

And I agree that there truly are Catholics who are saved who are still inside the Catholic church. I have heard many testimonies from ex-Catholics saying that it took time for them to leave the fold, and I get that.

Yes, we should welcome them if they come honestly asking questions, with humble hearts, seeking biblical answers. But, can we call them brothers and sisters while they are inside the Catholic denomination and holding to Catholic teaching and doctrine, as Beth Moore does? The answer is no.

  7. "Yes, but their can be real christians amongst the Catholic faith. Maybe this is what she was trying to get at."

Please be careful not to go down this rabbit trail. No one is saying their aren't.

However, I'm the one who has this video and made that clip. I walk you through it in here: http://apprising.org/2011/12/28/sbcs-beth-moore-merely-pretending-to-be-protestant/

Moore is clearly saying the RCC is a Christian denomination as does her friend James Robison: http://apprising.org/2011/12/18/james-robison-and-rick-warren-working-to-reverse-the-protestant-reformation/

  8. Thank you for commenting, Ken. I also agree with you that, going by what is presented in this video, Beth Moore considers Catholicism on the whole as simply another Christian denomination.

  9. Mrs. Moore should carefully read the Catechism of the Catholic Church at the Vatican's website before making such a statement.

The martyrs of the Reformation would roll over in their graves if they could see what is going on today in evangelicalism.

    This breaks my heart.

  10. All I could do when I saw the title of this post was hold my head and think, "Nooooooooooo! Et tu Beth Moore?" I don't know why I'm surprised. This makes me sad for those who are lost and have no idea. Miabella, I agree that we want those who are enslaved to Catholic doctrine to be free of that and I believe that starts with NOT treating them like brothers and sisters in the Lord. That would lead them to believe they are already in the truth and that would be cruel. But we can lovingly share the truth with them and of course any Catholic who stumbles into a good church should be welcomed--not as a fellow believer--but as someone who is lost and needs the savior. I also understand that the rituals of the Catholic faith die hard and so there may be some who remain there after true conversion. I doubt that lasts for very long, though.

  11. ok, I talked to my knowledgable friend. i stand corrected.

  12. Heh heh - "Et tu, Beth Moore?" My thoughts exactly.

And just for the record, I don't get any joy whatsoever in reporting this. I did several Beth Moore Bible studies as a new Christian, and really learned a lot. I loved that she had you read a ton of Scripture, something I had never done before. But I found her teaching to be overly emotional and confusing. And when she began talking about spiritual warfare and generational curses, I literally laid my head down on the table in front of me in despair. I couldn't believe that as a Christian, I had to start breaking curses all over again! After all, I had come out of New Age wicca/paganism (among other things), and in wicca, there is also a form of curse breaking believed to be associated with generational curses caused by "wrongs" done by ancestors (no concept of sin there). But think of it: how would you ever know that you "got" them all? You couldn't possibly. So those kinds of teachings eventually sent me into a spiral of despair.

  13. I was raised in the Catholic church. Baptized as an infant, first communion, confirmation, catechism classes, etc. Catholic grade school, high school. I lived in a Catholic world. I can say for a certainty I never heard the gospel there, preached in the power of the Holy Ghost.

They have masses and confessions and rosaries and Mary and the saints, etc. but the Spirit is what is missing. They have religion and know about God but they don't really know the Lord Jesus Christ. If they did they would be out of there like I am. All they know is the wafer Jesus.

  14. Jonathan edwards said the two great works of the devil are Roman Catholicism and Islam. He hit the nail on the head with that. Almost 2.5 billion souls in bondage.

  15. Beth Moore invaded the church I went to and her first video gave me the shakes. Her vocabulary was new age...I raced home and Googled her ...Saw her contemplative prayer video and knew.
The second time I went to church bible study more shakes.
I called the teacher and told them what she meant by the words she was using.... I showed them that she was doing the Hegelian dialectic and diapraxis.
They were even doing the old Marxist trick of having Facilitators in the groups to identify resistors.
I asked them why are you using this technique to move people off the scriptures into how they
feel about this. Her books are filled with tricks from Marxist theory.

I called the pastor..Nothing.. another church buh bye

All of this is just smoothing people into using contemplative pray. The goal of the new age is to get people meditating because they believe in the 100th monkey theory. If they can get enough people to meditate they can effect the Jungian collective unconscious and take the next step in evolution and become gods.

  16. EXPOSED...I am often torn by my own flesh! I find that my mind will take a piece of "news" and with it, drop a seed of "truth" in my heart and then stand by it, walk in it and at times, act on it. But WITHOUT FAIL, when I place the WORD OF TRUTH, THE BIBLE, in front of that deposited belief due to some "news," I find the truth in God's Word to be the light exposing the lie. And it is this...WHO AM I??? My heart cannot be trusted..."The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9) We all fall into the trap of standing by our mental/hearfelt opinions. But the Word shows us through Christ what a heart of love looks like. "Yet, while we were STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US!" Every one of us has sin on a daily basis in our lives...that is a FACT!!! As a believer in Christ or one who has yet to believe, this we MUST ACCEPT!!! We have to look at our own lives FIRST and dare to ask Christ to EXPOSE US, OUR FLESH, OUR MIND AND OUR HEARTS AND give way to the Holy Spirit in those areas of sin to bring us into the FULLNESS OF CHRIST AND HIS IMAGE!!! Trust me, I am a hot mess but one redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!!! My encouragement, when we see the "fruit in others" that does not line up with God's Word, take that as an opportunity to examine ones own heart using God's Word, ABSOLUTE TRUTH, and seek out the Holy Spirit to apply it to ourselves. Christ met the woman at the well, respected her human value by talking with her, gave her absolute truth and encouraged her to walk in it. That is OUR EXAMPLE!!! Maybe that is the point of this post about Beth Moore. Maybe this is a means to encourage her with the truth, but is any of it directed toward her personally or is it just talk about her? If my daily walk (in my opinion, crawl) was merited on whether I got it right everyday, I WOULD BE DOOMED FOR ETERNITY WITHOUT HIM!!! And this...as a believer in Him and the price He paid for me with HIS OWN BLOOD! The point, do not point fingers at those around you but rather, let the Holy Spirit point out in YOU where He would like to work, and trust me, there is work to be done in each and everyone of us!!! My desire, to be transformed into the image of Christ and to love others like He does. And believe me, that is a daily seeking of His face through His beloved Word and being willing to be exposed and transformed by His Holy Spirit! Lord Jesus, HELP ME LOVE LIKE YOU AND ALWAYS BE WILLING TO BE EXPOSED BY YOU AND SURRENDER MY MIND HEART AND SOUL TO YOUR SPIRIT WITHIN ME!!! Thank you for loving me, saving me and changing me and for the greatest moment to come in my life...WHEN I SEE YOU FACE TO FACE!!! Your name is Je-SUS!!! Amen, Amen & Amen!!!

  17. Clearly Mrs Moore is going against God's word-
2Cr 6:14-17 "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers."

Eph 5:11 "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."

The Catholic Church as a whole is not Christian at all.

The true Church (body of genuine believers) do NOT stand together on core beliefs( The Gospel of grace) with Catholics (gospel of works)~diametrically opposed and never homogeneous just like oil and water

Mrs Moore is doing grave injustice by placating the essentials -(core beliefs) of the Christian faith. To enable and embed people to remain in their sins by accepting them as our brothers and sisters in Christ is just justifying them all the way to hell. How is that loving them? Mrs Moore is being so selfish on her part by leaving them in their unconverted state. This is not the love of God in Christ at all. God's love is unselfish and sacrificial. Beth Moore only cares about herself. Pro 27:6 "Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses".

When I was saved back in 1997, I also attended several women's bible studies on Beth Moore and she seemed pretty sound then. In fact I still have several of her workbooks. Of course I was a baby in Christ so what did I know I was on cloud 9 with Jesus. "People assume that visible fruit is infallible evidence of God’s endorsement. Perhaps we should ask Balaam, Jonah, or Judas about that."-Phil Johnson

She's a very likable person, attractive, and very articulate. So many women are drawn to her since she seems to have all the qualities women think they need to be a successful godly woman. Now she's going headstrong into mysticism and contrary to God's word --she has lost her connection with the head- Colossians 2:19
Beth needs prayer and she needs some strong godly women to rebuke her to step down. She really needs help and she needs to repent.. Whether or not that will happen well, I won't hold my breath

  18. I was taught in my non-denominational bible study leadership program, to refrain from identifying everyone's 'home church'. [even though in our flesh we were dying to know!]

I have a friend for 14 years in Leadership with me, and I still don't know what church she goes to.This has been only a positive thing, as all our conversation remains focused on Jesus & his Word.

Ms. Moore is making a grave mistake to use that divisive illustration, I realize she is just trying to break down walls that Denominations put up, but she will never succeed that way.

Also, she is completely ignoring the fact, that some Denominations do not have Christian Leadership in the pulpit, but cross town, in the same Denomination, they do have a Believer in the pulpit.

I hear you very well I really do and can tell you are very compassionate.

However, we should expose grave error because it's not about being kind to Beth Moore it's about being kind to lost souls who are on their way to hell.

False teachings are a threat to the well-being of others just like a contagious disease. Error must be confronted, isolated and stopped. It IS LOVE to confront our Family members(individuals) with this error before it gets out of hand and affects others. Agape does include confronting other believers, when they are in the wrong.
The biggest mistake people make is when people take us attacking error and false teachings as equivalent to attacking that person on a personal level. God's love is not what's best for the individual at the expense of the group it's what's best for the group at the expense of the one

One good way to understand God's love on a small stratum is to watch the movie "Lean on me"...

  20. Rome teaches that Talmudic Judaism & Quranic Islam worship the same "god" as they do"

In John's First Epistle we are told that they that deny that Jesus is the Son of God, are NOT of God.

The 3 Religious Stooges are in fact ANTICHRIST!

How many Christians have heeded the warning of Jesus:

"Beware the leaven of the Pharisees"?

This is NOW called the Babylonian Talmud, which is the most important encyclopedia for Jews & from which Muhammad, the false prophet of Islam got most of his information of the Old Testament from. He received his information on Christianity from Christian heretics living in Arabia at the time.

  21. I wrote a comment on another blog today which I won't post here;

    Ken Silva replied:

    "inform yourself,

The over-arching issue is what Beth Moore teaches.

This will help you become more informed: http://apprising.org/2011/12/28/sbcs-beth-moore-merely-pretending-to-be-protestant/

Perhaps you'll care to comment upon that." he said~~

I read it and I'm very uneasy and queasy to the point of literal nausea at my stomach about Beth Moore~~

If she does not repent then doesn't the very shocking verse 2John 1:9 apply? "Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son."

Scripture must be taken very seriously with warnings

Genuine believers are chastized by our Heavenly Father. God WILL discipline and rebuke those he loves-Heb.12:6-8. If we are not disciplined and rebuked we are none of his. Scripture is clear!

True repentance will come if a person is genuine and if a person does not repent then I question that they are true sons(daughters)of God.
To continue skipping merrily down the broad path as Moore is doing is very serious-Proverbs 15:10 "Stern discipline awaits him who leaves the path; he who hates correction will die."

This is an example of true repentance---http://www.discernthetime.com/messageboard/showthread.php?p=62255
